Shallow Regrets is a compact standalone card game that reimplements ideas from Deep Regrets in a much smaller wallet format. Players fish from small shoals, keeping creatures only if their existing haul provides enough hooks to match a fish’s strength, while many catches also grant one-shot powers that disrupt opponents or improve your position. Scoring is mostly about total value, but foul fish can drag down the player who collects too many.
