Dead Reckoning is a pirate-themed exploration and economic strategy game built around John D. Clair’s “card-crafting” system, where transparent cards are sleeved together and upgraded over the course of play. Players sail across a modular sea, discover islands, trade, battle, influence ports, and develop their crew to generate points and unlock stronger combinations. It mixes sandbox-style freedom with engine building, area presence, and tactical conflict in a large-format production.
